Software Engineer in Test (Products)

Vivisimo seeks a Software Engineer in Test (Products) to design and implement automated tests in various languages for our products. This individual will work closely with software developers on small teams to design and deliver products in an agile environment.

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field
• 2 to 5 years of work experience in test case design and automated test development
• A minimum of one year experience in:
• Java or .Net programming
•  XML technologies: XPath, XSL, XSD, SOAP etc.
• Unix/Linux and Windows
• Familiarity with distributed systems
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an agile team

Other Pluses:

• Experience with search engines, text mining or information visualization, information extraction, XML databases, computational linguistics, etc.
• Python, C/C++, Ruby competency
• Exposure to Selenium, WATIR, or other test tools/frameworks
• Experience with version control (e.g. CVS, SVN, Git)
• Knowledge of agile testing concepts and practices
