Software Engineer in Test (Frameworks)

Vivisimo seeks a software engineer to implement test frameworks for performance, scalability, and feature-level testing. Under the direction of a Manager of Test Architecture, this individual will work closely with Engineering, Architects, and Product Marketing to understand requirements for product performance and scalability, implement and enhance performance, scalability, and feature-level test frameworks, and work with QA and Development teams to integrate automated feature and performance-based tests into test frameworks.

The successful candidate will possess the followings knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field
• 1 to 3 years of work experience in automated testing and performance/scalability testing
• A minimum of one year experience in:
• Java or .Net programming
• Performance & scalability tools such as Grinder, Webload, ContiPerf, JMeter
• Unix/Linux and Windows
• Familiarity with distributed systems
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an agile team

Other Pluses:

• Experience with search engines, text mining or information visualization, information extraction, XML databases, computational linguistics, etc.
• Python, C/C++, Ruby competency
• Exposure to Selenium, WATIR, or other test tools/frameworks
• Experience with version control (e.g. CVS, SVN, Git)
• Knowledge of agile testing concepts and practices
